Hey Guys:

We recently had the opportunity to interview   Eliana Ujueta, a New Yorker, Mom, a former cop who walked the East Village beat for 10 years and now a filmmaker.  Yup, she’s an all round kick-ass Superwoman. When Eliana first walked into our offices, I just knew I got busted for all those unpaid parking tickets.  Fortunately, she let me off with a warning, and ordered me to stay away from fire hydrants.  Whew!

Eliana wrote and directed her first feature film “Beneath the Rock”.  She won a scholarship from the School of Visual Arts Alumni Association for her film, and won 2011 Best Narrative at The East Harlem International Film Festival. Way to go Eliana!

"Beneath the Rock" is a film based on a block in Brooklyn where for generations residents  have been controlled by the local police brass. The cops ran an illegal underground casino that lies beneath the bedrock, with  residents above serving as its workforce. Everything is calm until a 12 year old girl goes missing, then all hell breaks loose.

For more information on what Eliana Ujueta is up to, check out her website at http://www.beneaththerock.com.

Thanks for coming by Eliana, and don't forget our coffee date!  Handcuffs optional !

Peace,

Ollie
